BC Bereavement Helpline, and BC Victims of Homicide will be offering an 8 week loss support group for anyone who has lost someone to violent dying.

This will be the second time it is offered on the Island.

It is a free support group led by two qualified facilitators and has been highly successful and well-received on the mainland and here in Victoria last fall. It is for anyone who is recovering from the murder of a loved one - whether 20 years ago, or more recent. The group is psycho-educational around grief and trauma, and rooted in first creating safety and self-soothing/care practices, and the healing practice of restorative re-telling.

The group runs Wednesdays Oct 8th - Nov. 26th, 6:00-8:00 pm. Location will be in Victoria.

Anyone interested in joining the group should contact Shauna Janz, M.A. at 250.857.9642 or email shaunajanz@gmail.com
